Works ok on my smaller, more sensitive fishing rods. Did not really work well with my 9’ 2-piece trout rod. But fit a no.5 2-piece fly rod nicely. A 4 or 5-piece rod would be nice to use this holder…as long as all the opening sizes correspond to the rod sections
