SOLOKING ACURA BFS baitcaster was very smooth! Can cast very light lures. Casted 1/16 jig head with small 1 1/2 paddle tail plastics with 10lb PE with a 6ft Handing Magic L Ultra Light Rod & RYOBI RANMI UL Rod . Brakes are on the light side. Still a lot of fun. Barely any Play in this reel.

amazing bfs reel in terms of how well it’s made. they’re not necessarily the best in terms of the lightest or capable of casting the lightest, but they are exceptionally made with very tight tolerances and feels amazing. free spool is great, magnetic brakes are nice and strong, drag is nice and smooth and strong, spool is very light (this pro version has a shorter shaft compared to the non-pro that I’ve bought in the past) and spool tension knob is non-click which is actually better imo for very fine tuning. finish on this is beautiful but the paint will get damaged easily, which is not unexpected for budget reels.
overall a great reel. I have 4 of these and they’re absolutely my favorite budget bfs. doviello/soloking makes/sells great products and they’re also really nice.

Arrived early. Good communication regarding progress as usual. The Soloking Acura was as expected after reading many reviews. Reel is light, smooth, and well manufactured. I immediately disassembled, removed excess grease, and relubed with high quality reel oil as is my usual process. I made a few test casts in yard, took slop out of spool, and put it in car for Monday morning trip to river. Being old is great!
I wish I had discovered AliExpress sooner. Many options and price ranges. Good deals to be had. My wife may think I go to excesses, but time is short. You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy fishing equipment, which is the same thing.
